Autobianchi Primula

Primula can be considered the only original development of Autobianchi with very bold design solutions. Its engine was a modernized FIAT-1100D, but the design of the front-wheel drive Primula was later used by FIAT in their cars. Inspired by the minicar Mini created by Alec Issigonis, the Autobianchi designers used a 4-cylinder transverse engine and a two-volume body for 4-5 on their model seats, quite original for its time. All 4 wheel brakes were disc, which was rare at that time, especially for small cars.
