He started as a mechanic on the railroad and at the age of forty years, became president of the largest automobile concern "General Motors". However, his views are, unfortunately, at odds with the interests of William Durant, Chrysler and solved the problem by leaving the group.
In 1924 he was joined by three young technique: Fred Zeder, Owen Skelton and Carl Brier. Thus, a new independent automobile plant "Chrysler Corporation", which soon gained popularity thanks to the exceptional quality of its products.

Walter Chrysler died in 1940, but the company, which he built, still occupies an important place among such huge corporations as "Ford", "General Motors".
