Alfa Romeo Spider/GTV

At the Paris Motor Show in the fall of 1994, the company showed two technically identical front-wheel-drive sports models at once - the open-air Spider and the coupe GTV. Cars attracted rounded aerodynamic bodies, the front part with built-in spoilers, four round headlights, an indispensable air intake hole in the form of a traditional "heart" and a short tail with a small boot.
At first, on the Spider / GTV series cars were offered only 2-liter engines of the front transverse arrangement with fuel injection capacity of 150 hp. Then a 200-horsepower turbocharged version was added to them, and in 1996 a 3-liter 24 appeared: a 192 hp valve engine, allowing the Spider with a total weight of 1,680 kg to accelerate from zero to 100 km / h in just 7.3 seconds. . The coupe with the same engine in 220 hp this indicator is 6.7 s. At the same time, fuel consumption at a speed of 120 km / h is quite moderate for such a powerful and high-speed car - 8.7-9.8 liters per 100 km, although in the city it increases to 13-14 liters.
