ARNOLT, Chicago, United States, 1953-1964

The American company "ARNOLT" began its activities with the installation of its own two-and four-seater open and closed sports bodies on the chassis of English MG cars. They were designed by the famous Italian bodywork company Bertone and made of steel or aluminum.
Then, again, the English chassis “Bristol-404” with a 6-cylinder engine with a power of 130 hp was used as a base, which was equipped with Italian-made sports doubles. This combination turned out to be the most optimal, and the new cars received the Arnolt-Bristol brand. The main options were the Touring convertible and the elegant GT coupe. These cars have repeatedly participated in sports competitions in America. The first high achievement was the Cup of the US Sports Car Club in the class “E”, shared, however, with the English Frazer-Nash. In 1955 and 1956, Arnolt-Bristol won the prestigious race in the American Sebring in the 2-liter category. In 1964, the production of these cars was discontinued.
