Burney, Meydenhid, United Kingdom, 1930-1933

In 1930, British aviation engineer Sir Dennistoun Barney presented an unusual single-seater 6-seater vehicle, as the wagon layout was then called, called the Burney Streamline. Behind him was located inline 6-cylinder engine of about 2 liters, and all the wheels had an independent suspension.
It was about a prototype on which it was possible to explore the aerodynamics of promising forms of cars. Prince Welsh liked the model so much that he bought it. But the car had a drawback: the rear engine was constantly overheating and part of the exhaust gases got into the cabin.
In 1933, the English firm Crossley purchased the rights to the Burney car, but all efforts to improve it and attempts to sell were unsuccessful.
